SUCCESS: I've been eating healthy, wholesome food in appropriate portions all week. I had a fantastic 5-mile run on the treadmill last night, and even made a triumphant (yet painful) return to my Group Power class on Wednesday evening, which I haven't been to in over a month. I know weight training makes such a huge difference in my running and overall body image (I feel much less jiggly), so I'm actively trying to get back into it. Aside from all the soreness, I'm feeling great! I have to admit that I wish it was converting to the scale more quickly, but I know I need to be patient and give it some time. Still, since I've put in the hard work, it would be nice to look down at the number on the scale and see something smaller.
FAIL: I found a great recipe for apple cider breakfast bars on the back of my jug of apple cider last night. Curious, I went ahead and whipped up a batch, with a few tweaks to the recipe to make them healthier:
SUCCESS: I finally have a working Garmin again! Hurrah!
SUCCESS: A slow leak in my car's front right tire has gotten worse since I rotated my tires. (By the way, I just found out that you're supposed to rotate your tires about two years ago. How come no one ever tells women these things?) Anyway, CarX told me it cannot be patched due to the location of the tear in the tire. (Frowny-face.) Luckily I always get that road hazard warranty and all I had to do is go in to the place I bought them and get the tire replaced, right?
FAIL: Turns out I didn't get the road hazard warranty this time. I'm not sure why or how I didn't, but I'm totally kicking myself for it. So after having the tire only one year, I'm going to have to pay for a whole new tire now, that is, unless Goodyear wants to send me a set of tires to review on my blog. (Doubtful.) Is it just me, or does it seem like your decision to purchase a warranty and your karma are somehow intertwined? Anytime I get a warranty on a product, everything's just fine, but whenever I don't get the warranty, that's when all hell breaks loose (literally). Stupid Murphy's Law.
Happy Friday, everyone... I hope your weekend is full of successes!

I totally hear ya with the scale thing! I was SO good last week, gained a pound. At like shit this week, lost the pound. Go figure!
Those breakfast bars are very deceiving...but, turmeric for a breakfast bar...ugh! :)
Good job on doing so well with the eating and exercising this week!
Nancy, I know, I hate when the scale appears to be rewarding my bad decisions! Argh.
Anne, yes, I'm sure the pumpkin pie spice that was supposed to go in it would have tasted much better than the tumeric! Oops, lol!
I am really in need to get back to regular weight training (and eating better), it is so easy to lose the cut-ness from when Iwas wt training a lot *sigh*. The bars DO look good...I may have to make them...but with the Pumpkin Pie spice instead ;).
